  • The Curves Resolution

Northwest Curves - Resolution SuccessDid you make a resolution back on January 1st to lose weight, lead a healthier lifestyle, or just start eating better?  If you did, you are in good company, as 45% of all Americans make some kind of New Year’s resolution each year, according to a new study by the the University of Scranton, PA.  You probably already knew this, but according to the study, there is a very high failure rate (60% after 6 months) for people actually carrying out their resolutions.

Since weight loss is the #1 (or near the top) resolution made every year, that means there are a LOT of women that try, but fail to achieve their goals in losing weight.  However, there is a 40% success rate, so don’t get too discouraged about reading this article!  You might ask, what makes these women actually carry out their resolutions?

    Resolution Success

As you might imagine, there are many reasons for resolution success.  But the one thing they all seem to have in common is the ability to keep going, even if they have a setback.  You can find tons of success stories, no matter the subject, where women cite their success after a failure or setback.  In the end, it was their perseverance to see things through, even though they encountered downfalls or being chastised.

Another commonality is having a strong support group that keeps you going and that wants to see you SUCCEED!  This is why Curves has developed the atmosphere, special workout programs, and partnerships with women like Jillian Michaels, because we know the best way to succeed  in your health goals is to provide a strong support system all along your journey.
